- Turn off all the lights of the studio classroom in order for the professional lights to give out the best effective and to do its job. Having the studio/classroom lights off as it will effect the white balance in the photo
- On each light there is a dial ranging from the numbers 1-6
- 1 is the lowest setting (lowest amount of flash) and 6 is the strongest setting (highest amount of flash)
- Each light is set to number 3
- If you adjust the height of the light and it is over the shoulder height make sure you put sand bags on each stand of the light
- Soft box - evenly spreads the light
- Diffusion - on the light/screen - softens the light (natural light - its a piece of material)
- Have the model 5-6 feet away from the backdrop
- Key light - the main source of light given out
- Fill light - Fills in the contrast
- Hair line light - Put the light on the back of the model/separate the model from the background/not to blend in/add dimension/light is placed behind the models shoulder/head
- Drop levels of light (1-6)
- Reflectors - bounce light
- White bounces off light
