Script
Script for Chocolog advert
Scene 1:
‘Mother’ is introduced to the audience, but the person’s voice is only heard. The audience cannot see the speaker.
‘Mother’: “Brian, come and do your homework”
Brian sits at the table and is stuck with his maths homework as he never listens at school when he is being taught. The audience can see by the look on his face he looks like he is struggling and confused.
He then starts to speak in his mind
‘Brian’: “I wish I listened and didn’t fall in sleep in class today. Now what am I going to do?
He starts to stress and he then put’s his face into his hands.
‘Brian’: “If only I could remember the name of that cool new chocolate that everyone was talking about at school. Apparently it makes you so smart…. Well that’s what Sean said.”
Brian is thinking really hard of what the name of the chocolate is.
‘Brian’: “What was the name? Chocofrogs? Chocoblogs Oh wait….. CHOCOLOGS!!!!!”
The audience can see that Brian’s face has lighted up and a lightbulb appears on top of his head.
As he says the name, a chocolog bar falls out of nowhere on top of his head.
‘Brian’: “ow”
He then realises that it is a chocolog and takes a bite.
Scene 2:
He all of a sudden gets a rush of energy and completes all his homework. He then starts doing a funny dance around the kitchen.
He then teleports from the house to a park and then attempts to play on the pull up’s facilities, cartwheels and running around the park crazy.
The scene changes to Brian saying the slogan.
‘Brian’: “Chocologs for Clever clogs be the first one to clever away” He then starts to throw the chocolate bar at the camera.
The camera changes to the text screen.
‘Narrator’: “Chocolog for clever clogs, the only chocolate that makes children smart”
The advert ends with Brian running away shouting.

Production dairy - 11/05/17
In today's lesson one of our members of the team was not in due to not feeling well therefore me and my other team mate had decided that we would divide the remaining work that was needed to be done between ourselves and if we did not get everything what we wanted to that we would go ahead and do it outside of lesson either at home or during our free periods. Today I had wrote down the narrative of advert which took a bit off time as the members of the group were not clear on what we wanted. In order to solve what everyone would be happy with we had finished off the narrative the next day when all of our group was in and carried on with our pre-production. We had done this in our free period. Due to not solving this in lesson this was the compromise that we had to make.

- No one will be in charge of the lighting as we are going to use natural lighting and not use any artificial lights as we do not have that available to use and it will not be convenient in the areas (which are the kitchen area and a park) that we are filming in the content of carrying it around/safety of carrying around the equipment.
- Editing - Hamerdeep and Shifau
- Desirees Mum - Just mention one phrase
- Marcus (Desirees brother) - Main character playing the role of the boy doing his homework. His name in the advert will be Brain.
We will not be booking for a camera in order to film as a member of our group have their own personal camera from which we are going to use to film our advert.

Production dairy 10/05/17
Today myself and my group have been very successful in the content of finalizing our story, getting our pre production documents done and lastly making a quick chocolate wrapper design. We had made the chocolate wrapper on photoshop. The reason why we had to make our own one and not use one that already exists is becasue we would of had copyright issues therefore we had to make our own. When it came to coming up with the idea for the chocolate wrapper all of the group put thier input of what ideas they had and then we came up with the idea of having a beaver sitting on a pile log wood with a wood background. This was a fast/easy process as we already knew how to crop out the background on photoshop and layer the different images ontop of each other. This was a very prodictive lesson.

As there is only one actor that is used in the advert all together, the clothing that he will be wearing will be casual, so when the audience watch the advert they will feel as if they can relate to the advert as the boy is going to come back from school and change his clothing in order to get more comfortable and then go do his homework.

- Need the kitchen table and this is going to replace the area where the boy in the advert goes and does his homework
- The chocolate bar to replicate the chocolate bar that the boy will be eating. We cannot use a brand of chocolate that already exists therefore we are going to buy a normal bar of chocolate and will make our own chocolate wrapper on Photoshop which we will place on the original bar of chocolate to make it look as if it our/new brand
- Be using the park in order to film a scene
- Pen, paper/book in order to replicate a scenario of the boy in the advert doing his homework which will have some writing on it replicating homework such as a math problem.
There will be no makeup/hair that will be used in this advert.

- Make sure that the area is tidy before filming in order to make sure that there is not health and safety issues such as tripping over something that is on the floor
- The crew are cautious of where the equipment is set up and can see the set up clearly as they do not tumble over cords/tripods if used
The walk to the park/ park scene
- Be careful when filming with the camera in public as it is a very expensive piece of equipment
- Keep the cord that is provided with the camera round your neck in order to prevent it falling and provide extra support when using it to film
- Be cautious when holding the camera

Task 1A) - Examples of adverts we looked at
This is an advert from Flash. Flash has made a humorous advert using a dog. They have made this funny approach by making the dog sing which is different than other adverts. I feel that this advert could help us because they have used a dog out of randomly.
We tend to have a funny concept towards our advert than having a specific product.

Production diary 1 - 3/5/17
In todays lesson we were introduced to our new brief from which we were told that the first part of our task was that we had to get into a group of three and choose what moving image product we wanted to produce. We had two choices, a music video or a TV Advert. Myself and my group had decided that we wanted to go with a TV Advert as we have had experience making a advert as in a previous task we had to produce a campaign advert and myself, as part as my gcse media course had to create a horror trailer within a group had meant that myself and my group have all had some sort of experience when it comes to edit, filming and the pre production tasks that are needed to be done.
Once we had decided what moving image product we wanted to produce , we had to go onto Youtube in order to get inspiration as to what we could do in the content of the story of the advert, what kind of advert did we want to make whether it would be humorous or formal for example. Once myself and my group had got looking on Youtube and looked at a variety of different adverts we had decided that we wanted to do something very funny, quirky which was also a supported idea by our teacher as our teacher was the individual to give us the idea to do something very quickry, weird. However when it came to us choosing ideas, we were a little bit confused as we all had a variety of different ideas however they were not linking up in the content that we had a clear beginning but no a clear middle and end which is clearly needed for a understandable narrative to the audience.
Overall after much discussion and looking at Youtube videos for inspiration, we had decided that we wanted to do something with the relationship of big sisters and there little bothers and how they always fight ect, and that we will create some sort of product which we have thought about but yet still needs to be confirmed on how they can avoid fights, or what they can do when either one of the siblings are being annoying to each other. All the content will be very funny and a sort of parody making this a humorous advert.
